Country music fans- recessional song?

E-CO, on May 5, 2016 at 1:55 PM Posted in Planning 1 29

I'm finalizing our ceremony music and struggling with our recessional song. We are getting married at my family's cattle ranch and are huge country fans, and the rest of the important wedding music is country. That said, FIL's are more high-brow and FH doesn't want them to judge. I can't find an upbeat country song about love and/or celebration for the recessional that doesn't have lyrics that are too "redneck." For instance FH has vetoed his own two favorite songs- Love Your Love the Most by Eric Church and Great Day to Be Alive by Travis Tritt, for that reason. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

@Brandieb, I know! But he doesn't think his family wants to hear "damn I love my Nascar race..." Lame!

We played "All Ever Find" by Tim McGraw as our recessional starting at the first chorus.

I'd Say That's Right by Clay Walker. Or there are plenty other ones. That's one I just heard as I'm finalizing some lists.

Check out "When I Say Forever" by Chris LeDoux. It's a nice, upbeat song and not redneck-y at all!

Thanks guys! These are some great suggestions! FutureMrsWallace I'll try again on the Great Day; our first trip together was to a Travis Tritt concert!

I have a lot of country picked out for the wedding music, including what I'm walking down the aisle to. However, I actually want something a little different for the recessional to get the party mood going. It probably won't be country at all.

I'm not sure if it might be a little slow or not but Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.

I want to use Dibs by Kelsea Ballerini or Stuck Like Glue by Sugarland. They're both upbeat and don't seem redneck.

Ever Ever After by Carrie Underwood is perfect for a recessional too.

I love Stuck Like Glue!! Maybe a little too fast for a recessional? Maybe not.
