Woo!

According to my timer, it's 60 days until the big day! It's about the get real! lol

We still have quite a bit to go over but now that we're finally back in the same place and time, things will be better to coordinate and plan out. I'm trying not to get too overwhelmed thinking about what has to be done. It comes and goes like waves with highs and lows. I'll get super excited or super panicked but then I'm like, it will all be okay. I know that like attracts like so as long as I stay positive, the positive energy will just multiply and radiate out to everything else.

How's the planning going for y'all? Is your checklist still long like mine or are you just on cruise control towards the fun?

Yes ma'am - no more suggestions!!!! Ugh! lol

I'm usually the go-to person but I've already told my sister (and MOH) that it's her job to make sure that I don't turn into Bridezilla or worse . . . And she's all about the business so if I haven't run it by her, it's not gonna happen lol She will keep everyone in check

Girl YES!! It's great you have your sister to step in where needed! A couple of weeks ago, I found myself getting heated over earrings for my bridesmaids. Flipping EARRINGS!! It was at that moment I decided to step away from the ledge and recalibrate. I'm not about to lose friends over earrings haha. Bridezilla situation averted lol

Loves me some Pinterest!! Don't know where I would be without it...wedding or otherwise lol

We're waiting a month before going on the honeymoon. Give us a chance to settle down a bit before leaving. Anniversary-moon sounds great! That should definitely be fun! With much less planning involved Smiley smile

Hey Aew!! I have 689 days left lol (Aug 2021 Bride) but I have my moments where I get super excited and then BOOM I become a ball of nerves. Sometimes I even cry out of nowhere while planning because it's so unreal for me. I am trying on wedding dresses for the 1st time next weekend!! I am excited n scared at the same time. However I am have a BALL planning my MOH resides in Chicago so she goes and looks at venues while I am on video chat. The fact that I will be booking venues and caters next year just knocks me back lol.

I definitely intend to delegate as soon as I decide what needs to be done! Lol. I'm doing fake flowers (partly cause of the cost, but mostly because I want to keep my bouquet forever) and my girls all said they would come and help put them together. I just haven't gotten a chance to actually go buy the flowers yet. I work full time and run a boutique on the side so I'm swamped right now and that's definitely cutting into my wedding time. Lol. Hopefully next weekend I will be able to get some things done.

Dre-W we can't please everyone so......we do our best and more on. I'm laughing because I think my family has taken the NYE theme a bit overboard. My aunt has decided she is making her dress and would like to put lights in the bottom of it. I can't even image....lolol

    Congrats Vivian!

As far as I'm concerned, it's never too early to start planning. Plus with all the trends and themes and inspiration goin on, you're likely to change your mind a few times. So take your time and enjoy the process. I know all about trying plan remotely so at it does help to have someone on the ground to scout for you. And if your FH wants to help/be involved, welcome him. You'll be surprised at his feed back and input. He'll add another level of perspective that you may not have thought of.

I ordered some flowers for the store I worked in during the summer and they were so pretty and life-like that I almost considered getting some for my wedding. I got them on Amazon and even though I'm not gonna get them for the wedding, I'm probably gonna get them to spruce up the house.

Then I actually made some paper flowers for the showcases of the store this summer too. They were a big hit and have helped to boost my confidence in my flower making so that if I really wanted to market and sell them, I know now that I really could.

The FH is actually involved in the planning down to the menu choices that will be served. He picked out his tux already and sent me a pic to make sure the colors matched the bridesmaids dresses. I am taking my time and enjoying each n every moment of planning. I am looking at dresses and I have to admit the micro sequins is totally in right now. I will attach pics and I wanted something that sparkles and simmers as I walk through the room. My wedding colors wont change BUT the style of dress I want versus what I will end up with is totally different. I wont buy anything this year nor even next year after reading alot of buyers remorse on this app on top of what you said about changing my mind etc. I wont purchase a dress til 2021 but I will go to wedding expo's!! Enjoy the planning any way I can lol

They have some at hobby lobby that look and feel real and I love the idea of being able to use my bouquet as a centerpiece on our table at Christmas time every year (Christmas wedding). I am not at all what I consider crafty, but I do have a sister in law who is good with stuff like that so she will definitely be helping me out. We aren't doing a ton of flowers though. No crazy flower arrangements framing the aisle or anything so we didn't feel it necessary to go through a florist. But if we were doing anything more than a few bouquets and some centerpieces, I would NEVER attempt. LOL.

That last one is GORGEOUS!!! Love love love

I remember when I went dress shopping. I only took my mom and 2 close family friends. I didn't want the whole entourage thing with all the opinions and conflicting ideas for what I should look like on my day. Being from St. Thomas, the closest David's Bridal was in Puerto Rico so we were able to hop a flight over. There are a few bridal/special occasion places at home but I would've still had to order something and have it shipped to the store. Anyway, I had looked at my options online and had about 7 dresses picked out that caught my eye. So armed with my print-outs, Mom and I went shopping. I was able to try on all but one and I'll admit that I didn't get the one Mom cried over. I got the dress that makes the most sense for my venue and the mood of the day. Don't get me wrong - I do love the dress I picked. But I also had to take into account where the wedding would be, what time of day and year and my own comfort level. Based on that, I know I made the right choice. And I still like to look at dresses - online and on TV. It's too fun to resist Smiley catface

It would've been fun to get to go to wedding expos but we don't get many expos at home so I missed out on that experience. But it sure sounds like fun so enjoy!

I like the idea of using your bouquet for Christmas - how pretty! I'm not having a lot of flowers either despite being fairly decent with the crafting. Thankfully, I'm able to work with the same florist from our original date and she had all my notes saved so even though we had to change venues and dates, we'll still get the flowers I did envision Smiley flower

I have those same EBBS and FLOWS often in the same day or hour! Smiley laugh

I fall asleep with tears of excitement...like a little kid the night before Christmas trying to get some rest. The next morning, I may see an email or something & then I'm right back into the challenges or things to do....I'm so exhausted!! I do not even spend as much time on pinterest anymore as before. I have a small bridal party but don't hear much from them. Sometimes, I have others in my tribe that make up the slack when I call, if they can or just provide the much needed ear. We are 50 days out (7 month engagement) and my to do list has lists!!!!!
