Costa Rica in July

Jennifer, on January 15, 2020 at 9:53 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 4
My FH and I are planning our honeymoon to Secrets papagayo in July after the 4th. I have heard it’s rainy season but how bad are the rains? Has anyone gone in July?

We're planning the same (getting married on July 4th and honeymoon in Costa Rica) so I'm definitely going to keep an eye on what people say here.

I also ordered 2 travel guides to Costa Rica so once I finally get around to reading them I'll let you know what I find!

Thank you so much! I keep looking up stuff online and it shows a dry season in July and the weather last July was sunny with only a couple showers

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Jennifer.

According to the Costa Rica guide on the WeddingWire honeymoon section, from May to mid-November it constantly rains. I don’t know how accurate this information is, however, prices are cheaper during these months due to the forecasted rain. It may be best to get information from other sources to get a more accurate weather prediction Smiley smile

We did TONS of research on this, as we're also going July 6-11, and it looks like rainy season starts in August, so hopefully beginning of July won't be too bad! The travel books said to expect afternoon showers.

We're staying at hotel threesixty, which is right where that dry patch is on the bottom west side of the map, between Drake Bay and Manuel Antonio.
