Whats the price range for someone to officate a wedding? Most of the information I have seen on this site and others seems several years old. I have found a big range everything from $275-$1,000 or more. I want someone to give us a personalized service and come to the rehersal

@Ceclia that is what makes it so personal and special.
ETA: it is very popular in my town for people to have their relatives or close friends officiate the wedding. Especially if that is their profession anyway

The officiant is one thing i didn't skimp out on since it's literally the person who will do the one thing everyone is coming to see. she's one of the top rated on WW and the knot for lancaster, pa and will cost us $625 total with rehearsal and the actual ceremony. we've already received a draft of the ceremony and get to customize it as we see fit. she's certainly worth every penny!

$300 is what our church recommended we give for our priest.

I'm in north Dallas and I've haven't been quoted anything less than $400. I've seriously considered having a friend get ordained online :/.

@anna b. Where in texas did you find that price? I've searched all over and can't find anyone to officiate for less than $400. I don't want anything fancy. Short and sweet.
