Corvette wedding reception

Samantha, on August 2, 2018 at 9:18 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
So my FH and I have decided to do a corvette themed reception since we both have C5 corvettes(the picture) they are twin cars. I don't know how to incorporate the corvette theme to the wedding without it being super tacky. Our colors are sapphire blue/cobalt blue, silver and black. I appreciate any help!

Hi Samantha! I don't suppose you live close to Kentucky and could have your wedding at the National Corvette Museum? I've been to a wedding there and it was really cool. There are some areas of the museum that are kept open for guests to wander and check out the cars on display.

Assuming that's not an option, a Corvette themed cake or matching Corvette cake toppers on your cake. You could work model Corvettes into your centerpieces without getting too over the top. You could use the Prince song "Little Red Corvette" for something special. My sister and her husband drove his boss's classic convertible Corvette as their getaway car after their wedding, and their photographer got a great picture of them driving away and looking back. They had a metallic print of it made and it hangs in their living room.

If you choose to incorporate model cars in your decor, I suggest you keep it classy by spray painting them all silver. You can find lots of examples online where people have used dollar store animals in centerpieces and tablescapes, but painted them gold.

    Also search piston centerpieces.

We are having a model car built by my FH and myself. He builds them as a hobby.

How fun! Is there at least an auto center or museum near you? That would be cool. I doubt they’d go for it but can you contact your local corvette dealership? That would be rad. Because some dealerships have events, they may have a liquor license and/or event insurance. But you may need to hire security to ensure nobody messes with the cars.

Might be pricey but you could see about mini corvette toys (the Mattel metal ones) as place card holders guests could take home?
