Corset Width?

My dress has a corset back and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the corset "should" look like when its tied, like how wide should it be at the top? The pic is of when I tried on the sample at the store and she said it fit almost perfect. Should the lacing be wider/more narrow/ or is it good like that? I ordered the same size as the sample but it is likely to be a little smaller because it wont be stretched out from a million people trying it on. Thanks!

That looks good - although the very bottom of the corset might be a little wider than needed - I'm sure if you had the ties sitting flat it would be able to close tighter.
If any tighter towards the top and the dress may bunch.

Beautiful dress by the way.

I'll be honest. You're skinny and I hate you. BUT in regards to the actual corset, I think it should be wider than the picture - especially the bottom. BUT I think if you had slightly thinner straps, it'll look perfect.

Just make sure every ribbon is perfectly flat in the perfect place otherwise it looks sloppy like the one in the picture.

OTW lol, I'm really not all that skinny, its just a good corset lol! The lady didn't do a stellar job at doing it up, but I don't blame her it takes forever to do those things up! I agree the bottom looks a little funny but I think its cause she just shoved the laces in there
