Sam and Kyle originally met back in high school in architectural drawing class, but Kyle was two years older than Sam, so he was "too good for her" haha. The universe must have been trying to give them a sign that they would end up together because in that architectural drawing class they could have chosen any building to draw, and they ended up choosing the same church in downtown Buffalo to recreate. To this day they still argue about who's drawing was better! It was a mutual friend, Madison, who ended up being the reason why these two finally got together. After seeing each other on Madison's facebook page Kyle started sending messages to Sam, and once they finally went out on a date they knew it was meant to be. Kyle and Sam spend time together hunting, fishing, shooting archery, and traveling across the country to tournaments together. They knew it was a good sign when they could spend 7 hours in a car together and not kill each other after dating for only about a month and a half! About 26 months later, on Wednesday February 4th 2013, Kyle took Sam out to dinner to Gordon Ramsey's Steak House in Las Vegas while at the World Archery festival, the dinner surprised Sam, but the bigger surprise was yet to come. After dinner they went over the watch the water fountain show at the Bellagio, while in the middle of the show Kyle got down on one knee and proposed to Sam, and of course she said yes!
