My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

Hi Brides! This is such a tragic time for wedding couples If you are looking for a "Change the Date" card to send to your guest list, Ann's Bridal Bargains just launched a new collection of really cute designs that are 69 cents each or 89 cents each for magnets 🙌https://www.annsbridalbargains.com/change-the-dates/ 💕
I can only imagine. My wedding is in July and I’m feeling a little uncertain. I think in a month we’ll have a better idea of what to do. Until then try to relax and enjoy your fiancé.
We canceled our 5/1 destination wedding in Mexico today with much sadness. We luckily have great vendors and wedding planner and have re-scheduled for the fall. It is so unfortunate but I didn't want to risk the stress and chaos of everything going on ruining our day. My heart goes out to everyone else in this situation.

Our wedding is also 4/4 in Ny, we just postponed today until July. It really is getting crazy. No gatherings at all allowed here. Good luck!
I just pulled the plug this morning! My wedding was April 25th in Cabo and it got postponed to October 24th. Have to say the minute I made the decision the stress little by little went away. And as informed my guest 90% were so happy I did!!
It’s still sad I’m not having a spring wedding., but at least I’m no longer stressing in front of the TV or the internet! Good luck on your decision.

CNN hasn't caused one Mayor or Govenor to make s decision. You obviously watch way too much TV. This is a wedding website. We all have a common concern, our weddings! Go to FB or somewhere else with that!

I have to say that my wedding was originally supposed to be 5/8/2020. I too just pulled the plug and rescheduled the wedding for 10/3/2020. I feel a huge relief. I think I will still go out to dinner or celebrate our original date somehow if the quarantine is lifted.

Rosa. I’m starting to feel the same way. I’ve actually been able to talk to my fiancé w/out crying. I’ve made suggestions to him. I’d really like to try and do a small wedding on our original date and a reception later, that way we can eventually still have that date as our anniversary. My venue has no October dates open. 1 June, several July, several August, 1 Sept day. Didn’t want to do July/August hot barn/ wedding by the pond to begin with. But, time will tell. Not sure if our county courthouse will even remain open for our license. The earliest we can get it is Sunday, but of course we can’t do it that day. And, my fiancé goes back on the road driving truck early AM Monday, so we would have to try the end of next week. BUT, I have a feeling, even more things are going to get shut down. I too, feel the stress of “do we, don’t we”, starting to lift. But, yes, still super sad that our family won’t be there to enjoy 1st time around....if we even get to do the first time around!🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

I'm right behind you. Planned wedding twice in less than 6 months and this! At this point, hoping vows with my immediate siblings and parents (FH family have all passed). With many high risk family and friends, I don't think i could subject them even if guest list is under 60. I'm not sure if I have any more tears left.

Kelsey!! Try dr on demand. 50 min session is $174 for me in NJ, but I get the help needed while I can't be out. In a week, 3 major panic attacks that have me extremely exhausted and broken feeling. We need to acknowledge that we will have to face this in baby steps. I keep telling guests I'll confirm in 2 weeks. I know what's going to happen, but holding on to any hope I have left. Stay strong

@Dana - yep, they just extended school closures to end of April too.
Originally, our venue advised us to wait, but with the latest announcement from the Governor and high likelihood the DMV would receive a “stay-in” in April, they advised us to move our date. Given our wedding is over 200 guests, they could’ve tried to take our money but they acted with integrity instead. We are now getting married on July 10th. It hurt at first, but like many brides have said, it feels so much better to be free from not knowing. Our guests are relieved and are excitedly RSVP’ing for the new date 🙂 I hope all goes well for you!

Ugh I hope I eventually get the same compassion. I dont think your venue could legally keep your money considering it is possible they would have to cancel. I would love to reschedule!
