My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

My wedding was set for March 28th & just yesterday I spoke with my venues about postponing. My venues were so helpful and all about making my new date absolutely perfect...they were not focused on cost & offered many generous solutions. I was able to reschedule for late July with no problems at all!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m sure your day will be beautiful. We are leaning towards postponing too. We’re thinking of going to the courthouse on the original date and then having a vow renewal/celebration a year later.

Yes we’re on it with the backup plan. Our backup plan is to go to the courthouse on the original date and then have a vow renewal/celebration a year afterwards with our original venue and vendors. Our immediate family can come to the courthouse and we can grab dinner afterwards.
I’m right there with you. After the shock sets in start working on plan B so you do not feel so helpless. It helped me a lot! Our plan B is go to the courthouse on the original date and have a celebration/vow renewal a year out.

My wedding is 5/3 in Boston area and we just pushed it back to the fall (I don't t this will be completely over by summer, given China and Italy's time frame). Don't panic, grab the next available date and coordinate with the vendors (thankfully all my vendors are flexible about this). No one could have seen this coming and most of them will understand. Action over panic!
We are in the same boat, the wedding is May 8th and our governor (Wi) has issued a ban on large group gatherings of 50 or more people. Hearing that put me in a major panic attack, he does not have any end date for this ban and that is really upsetting. I know it seems that May 8th is still far away but RSVPs have stopped coming in lately and I'm sure it's because of this. It's at the point where I have no clue what to do.

I’m right there with you. We can canceled our 5/21 wedding in Portland and started planning it here at home, Houston, for the same date. NOW, there’s the whole “no more than 10 people thing” and I’m freaking out. Do I continue as planned or, like you, do we just get married at the courthouse and have a renewal later. I’m completely heartbroken and stressed to the max.
My wedding is 04.26.20. We are still moving forward as is. There is time to adjust. Our vendor is working with us if we need to adjust. However I have decided to cancel my bridal shower which was scheduled for 04.04.20

We just had our wedding rescheduled by the venue to Monday, 10/26. A damn MONDAY.
Cancel and elope. You can have the big wedding when everything settles down

I live here too. It's crazy!!! Our wedding destination just closed off the island and didn't post for how long we just came home last night from vistiting down there for a week and it was a ghost town coming home. The blue route literally had no traffic around 5 yesterday
