I’m having mine at a family friends house on the lake. Our wedding is in June so hopefully everything is calmed down some by then. We are still going all out just not at the venue we had originally booked.

I'm having DW but i like that you are having it at the farm. I feel its more personable and you control the environment you are not limited to a specific time and outside of the weather you control your surroundings. Make it your own. and having extra time to decorate and make it your true vision is beautiful . Wish you the best and no one said you cant have a baby shower post baby.

My cousin did this. One thing I'd recommend if you can is try to hire at least a couple of people to finish any last minute set up, clear tables, cut the cake for the guests. They didn't do that, so my mom, siblings, FH and I ended up spending a lot of time bringing wine and champagne down to the reception tent, setting things out for the toast, cutting the cake for guests after the bride and groom did their thing, serving the cake, helping clean all the dirty dishes from the tables at the end, etc. It was still a nice wedding, and we were happy to help where needed but it ended up being more than I'd have expected to do as guests.

And definitely either hire or appoint someone as the official coordinator. There were times when we were being told different things to do by different people. One cousin wanted us to open all the wine and place it in the tables before the toast, while another wanted us to just open them partway and place them to the side for awhile, so there was lots of re-work that could've been avoided if there was one clear leader

    Hi Amanda,

Congrats on your engagement and your sweet baby girl! So many exciting things to look forward to!

I personally LOVE the idea of having a backyard wedding. What better way to break in your new home than a wedding?! Can you do us a favor? Once you have pictures from your wedding, can you tag us on Instagram? We would love to see photos!

Sending so much love your way!

    Smiley heart

Thank you! And we absolutely will! We have son our property so we will be having the photographer take such beautiful rustic photos with them in the back ground. We can’t wait!
