Do you guys think that the weddings will be okay and back to normal in October. My date is October 20,2020. I still haven’t gotten my dress and I’m sort of nervous about that

It’s okay, places should be opening soon. I just need to get a dress sooner than later

I think it depends on your area. I don’t see large gatherings of 50+ being permitted anywhere in the country for the rest of the year, but I think the rules will be even more strict in hot spots.

For finding a dress, you could try online shops? Or reach out to local bridal boutiques in your area. I called the shop where I got my dress from to ask about alterations, and they said they will start to offer alterations mid-May, and I'm in CA!

That’s really up to each state. My husband is a su chef and kitchen manager in NY and he actually had a meeting today and they plan on opening probably around June and his job isn’t just a restaurant but also a bar and “family” fun center and yes there may gave to be some restrictions like reserving only 50-80 people at first since they can accommodate spreading things out a little and people may not just be able to walk in or be aloud in without masks and what not but I know that with options to do take out, the owner of the company was very clear about any of his business locations around the US being closed completely because he wasn’t risking anything. Even before shut downs he wasn’t allowing my husband to hire help in fear of possibly bringing the virus in but then would get angry with HR when my hubby was doing double OT because he’s doing 3 different jobs and needs an extra cook. 🤦‍♀️ Needless to say I think things like concerts and college is gonna be a no for the rest of the year but I think if you’re wedding is somewhere like a hotel kinda venue then 100-120 max may be okay because you’re in a more controlled setting.

I’m aware of that completely. Given that NY is one of the highest number of cases tho, I’d say that most states will be ahead of NY

It just depends on what state your in. I live in WA and I feel very hopeful that I will be able to have the wedding that my FH and I wanted.

Like others have said, will depend on what state you’ll be getting married in & if you live in a bigger city (hotspots) or in a more rural area. I’m in Indiana, they’re hoping to have gatherings of 500+ by mid July. Although it doesn’t really matter for our wedding because we’re getting married in alabama. I would just look for updates with your states re-opening plan/phases
