Hello,
So just looking for ideas or opinions. Me and my fiance were due to get married june 27th of this year. Thanks to the wonderful virus we are threatened with having to cancel. We already have customized items with the original date. I have no idea what to do ! I dont want to wait any longer, ive been waiting for a year and a half for this moment.

Get married that day just you guys either at your church or courthouse and do the big party/shindig next year! That’s what many brides are doing

You can still wear your dress, to both the courthouse and the party later if you want. I'm planning on getting my hair and makeup done and wearing my dress the day we go to the courthouse. Then we're going to the park to take pictures. And we're just planning a celebration of our marriage with local guests later in the year, but I might wear my dress and have FH wear his suit to that too

And I'd still use the customized dated items. They're a part of the whole wedding experience us Spring 2020 brides have had to deal with.

If we have to postpone (June 20), we will on having a super small ceremony at a park that day. I will be wearing a less formal dress, but I think it’s totally OK to wear your dress to both.

First, I would speak with your venue! Find out if they are offering postponements and also find out if you don't want to postpone if you can have a limited guest ceremony still (some places have a minimum guest number), there are lots of questions to ask!

    Hi April,

I'm sorry that you've had to postpone your wedding. Wedding planning under normal circumstances can be stressful at times--and the current situation is far from normal. You are definitely not alone!

There are several ongoing conversations re: what to do with your dated decor items on the WeddingWire forums. The overall vibe is that your original date is part of your story.

    - Re-purchasing items with dates after postponing wedding

    - What to do with wedding decor with different date?

    - What to do about dated favors

Hope this helps! I'm wishing you the best of luck with your wedding! DP8w9oG1Zjw6zXLt4HyZKfY810DKVX8O7zhUqQtD
