So I am getting married in November of 2021 and my FW and I were discussing the idea of having cornhole set up and some giant Jenga or something like that for during the cocktail hour and for the dancing portion of the reception. I don't have much of a family so my side of the guest list is like 4 people, so it will be mainly her side. I am worried that it would come off as just a family reunion and not our wedding? Any thoughts?

As I am looking into it I am finding more and more weddings with something similar so it doesn't make me feel as weird about it!

I was looking at getting some plain boards and painting them but I will look into bags that say Mrs. and Mrs.! Thanks for the idea!

I’m sure that’ll still be the main attraction!

You can also register for them! You'll definitely get some before the wedding, and that way you don't have to buy as many.

I’m planning that too! We postponed our big reception with a band so we are going to do a small ceremony and dinner and then a little outdoor afterparty with bags and jenga (we don’t call it cornhole here haha!) I think it’s a fun idea

I’d check with your venue and state rules with COVID! We had already reserved games but checking with our venue they told us lawn games aren’t approved by the state or something. It was disappointing but I’m glad we found out before losing money.

Well our big day isn't until November 2021 so hopefully by then there won't be as many COVID restrictions but I will check! Thanks!

I just ordered some from Etsy too! I picked bags closest to my wedding colors and boards that say “Mr. & Mrs” with our new last name. I’m having these out after our dinner for our small after dinner party outside since we had to postpone our big reception

I am having games set up at my wedding and it will be a 21+ crowd minus a few nieces and nephews. I was planning to have 2 or 3 of the following: ladderball, cornhole, jenga, and playing cards.
