Corests, bustier.. Oh my help!

Deanna, on May 7, 2019 at 8:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

I have no clue what to pick or wear! My first dress has all the built in's and I technically do not need to wear anything under it, however, due to the dress coming in to long (Cannot get it hemmed due to detail at the bottom and no seem in the waist) I went with a second dress for the reception. That's where the issue is, the second dress is from David's Bridal, and has NO support, plus has a lowish back. I know I would want to do something that would make everything smooth, and give my support, even a little push up.

Any advise would be great!

You cannot have the first dress bustled so it's short enough to do your reception on?
Other than that a seamstress can put cups or boning in your second dress for support. Especially if it has a low back, it's hard to wear anything underneath.

Honestly I would get a second opinion about the hemming. Bridal gowns are expected to be hemmed.

Hey Deanna! It is very unfortunate that your first dress cannot be altered, have you gotten a second opinion from another seamstress? I would have assumed that all wedding dresses would need to have the ability to be hemmed.

As Jessica mentioned, a seamstress will be able to add boning and cups to the bust of your second dress so that you have support without having to wear anything underneath it.

Once this is all added, if you feel like you need more support you can look into underwear that would suit a low back dress.

Will you be able to wear the same shoes with both dresses?

Is the dress in your picture the first or second dress? It's really beautiful! And it's great that you can wear the same shoes with both dresses!
