Coordinating Bridesmaids Dresses to Wedding Dress

hopingwaiting, on May 12, 2019 at 10:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Tell me what you think...

Does embroidered/lace bodice for the bridesmaids bring everything together for my dress or make every thing look too busy? Note: The bridesmaids bodice would not have beading so I will still stand out! What do you think? Should we do a flat chiffon bodice instead? Or mix and match textures since we are already at mix-match dresses? I have 6 bridesmaids total so it would be possible to have lace of one set of colors and flat chiffon of the other set.

For context: These photos are from Kennedy Blue to give my girls ideas. What I'm doing is giving them the swatch and telling them to go find a dress that works for them Smiley smile Since the swatches are from Kennedy Blue, they can always fall back on them if they don't find anything they like in a bridal shop.

I have a lace heavy dress and we ended up with the flat chiffon dresses. I love lace and initially thought to do lace with my bridesmaids dresses, but when I ultimately decided I liked the contrast of the flat chiffon with the lace.

My dress is a lace mermaid and my bridesmaids also have lace bodices. I think it'll look cute. Also, they are wearing knee length dresses.

Regardless, you as the bride will stand out and be set apart from the bridesmaids.

Both are good options - the plain or lace bodice both work. Depends what style you prefer personally!

I think I like the lace better! Because your dress is so beautifully detailed, the flat dresses look just that, flat, like they need something!

I agree, I like lace better! Some more context: We are getting married on a beach bluff and so I thought the best possible color palette was shades of sea-glass. Originally, I was going to do a white mermaid silhouette for my dress. I feel like the sea-glass colors go better with that. Once I got the dress tho, it screams princess! I'm sticking with my original color palette even though I feel like my dress changed the game and I feel that lace brings it together.

I prefer the more simple tops in the second picture.

This is the beauty of mix and match...I'm going to mix and match textures as well. The best of both worlds!!
