Hello All,

I recently got engaged and I'm so excited to start this wedding planning. My budget is firm at $5K for everything( including food and drinks). My A list of guest is at 40 with kids. and B list is at 60. I really want an outdoor ceremony but I'm open to having my reception either way. I'm looking all over South Florida starting from Boca all the way down to Key West. Any suggestions, guidance is greatly appreciated. I want to stay far away from banquet halls if at all possible.

My wedding is not until early 2018 and dates are flexible. I want some thing intimate, simple but unforgettable.

Please please help this bride to be!!!

I live in South Fl and I was originally going to use Robbins Lodge in Davie, Fl for my venue. It fits up to 80 people inside the lodge and is surrounded by these gorgeous oak trees, wide open fields, and white picket fences that would look gorgeous in pictures. I just signed a contract with a different venue because we're having more people than expected, but if my guest list was as small as yours I would have definitely booked RL. I'm gonna attach some pictures. It's only like $800 for a 12 hour event. These are all pictures I took personally, except for the last one with the white chairs (although it is a picture at RL).

Go on the Thumbtack.com site. I'm doing a 5K wedding myself and we're doing it. Craigslist got us beach house for around $100/night. Having wedding on beach and reception at the house. 30 people no more. Found a caterer/bartender going to do Buffet style food I want to have and run bar all night for 1000. I have to buy all the alcohol, no prob. We made a list of easy to make cost efficient drinks like rum and coke, melon shots, pina colada, margaritas and a couple cases of beer, just one kind. Making our own flower arrangements, invites and programs. also, found a baker to do cake 210.

Sofia, you could opt for a light reception. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, cake, and drinks. Keep your wedding and reception for 2-3 hours that way guest don't hangry. Like others have suggested check out parks
