Commitment ceremony....planner?

Shantae, on November 15, 2019 at 7:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
Hey ya'll so we will be having a commitment ceremony because we're both on disability and I would lose my income cause he gets more. Yes it's still technically a wedding just without being legal.

We want it small but fun and Casual make it a weekend getaway type thing. The thing is we want it in the state park. I like to plan things but even with it being super small I feel silly thinking I need a planner to help me streamline our thinking and help with permits and find a good photographer

Planners cost a lot of money- good ones cost thousands. If it’s in your budget, you can certainly hire one but for a more casual event, I’d say they aren’t necessary.

I believe a commitment wedding or symbolic wedding is just the same as any other wedding. Throw the wedding you want and if you can afford a coordinator or planner for some help then go for it. Even a small event takes lots of planning and preparation.

    Hey Shantae! Congratulations!!

Have you contacted the state park to ask about any permits or permissions that you may need to hold your ceremony there? I think that would be the best place to start. You should also ask whether they have a maximum number of guests or maximum size events that can be held there. It’s definitely better to have all of the information you need!

If you feel like you need a wedding planner, then you can definitely look into the planners that are listed on WeddingWire. Here are the Wedding Planners that are listed, but if you add in your location, you will be able to find planners in your area.
