Advice/opinions please! Do I wear heels to avoid the cost of hemming my dress OR pay for alternations and get to wear flat comfortable shoes?
My dress is ordered and I'm trying to decide what to do when it comes to shoes and alterations. I already ordered petite. The hollow to hem is 55. Mine is like 51 1/2 (if I measured correctly). In an ideal scenario, I get to pretty much be barefoot for my wedding because I'm a bit clumsy and never wear heels. My alterations wouldn't be cheap though because of the floral appliques on the bottom of my dress. Our budget is small and we are trying to save anywhere we can. Is it better to buy heels and get use to them so I can avoid the cost of alternations OR is it better to pay the extra money to be able to wear shoes I know I'll be comfortable in? Did you have a similar experience? What did you choose? Any regrets? The dress pictured is a regular 4, I ordered a 2P so length is not accurate, but you can kinda see the detail that will bring up the cost of hemming. (Please excuse my face)
