Columbus Ohio venues!

McKenzie, on September 24, 2019 at 7:46 AM Posted in Ohio Planning 0 6
I need help! The venue we were going to book has been taken and I don’t want to pay a hand and a foot for a venue. Does anyone have venue suggestions in columbus that are on the inexpensive side of things? I’ll take any and all suggestions!

    Hi Fellow Columbus Bride!

I'm also a budget bride so have been scoping venues for months now trying to find what works.

Gahanna Sanctuary is super affordable and GORGEOUS.

The Metro Parks system has several indoor lodges that are cute and on the cheap side. I like the Cedar Ridge Lodge at Battelle Darby Creek. There are several others and you can do a virtual walk through on their website of their spaces. I also really like Homestead Park as well in Hilliard. You can reserve the covered bridge for your ceremony then do the reception in one of the shelter houses.

We ended up going with Mozarts in Clintonville for our reception after our church ceremony. They will work with you! Janelle and Anand are fabulous! We are on a teeny tiny budget and was able to secure the venue and food for under $800 for 30 guests. There are a lot of other all inclusive options, they'll even bake the cake.

We also considered doing a ceremony at Innis Metro Gardens in the Rose Garden and then going out to eat somewhere after.

On the little more pricey side Columbus Parks and Rec also have several indoor places (theres one at Westgate Park) but seem to be a little more higher priced than Metro Parks. I had looked into doing just the ceremony at Griggs Reservoir in the castle amphitheater but they wanted us to rent the entire lodge next door to it and that was just silly because at that time we had already booked with Mozart's for the reception. But the lodge there is also very very nice and overlooks the river.

    Good luck!

I would also recommend Creekside in Gahanna and the Brookshire in Powell. Both of these places offer inclusive packages including things like decor, dj, cake, to cut down on price by having everything in the same package!

Depending on what you want and are willing to spend, westerville parks and recs has a building that includes tables and chairs for like 175 an hour I believe
