Color Swatches - Ugghhh

Brandi, on July 23, 2010 at 4:58 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

So I was looking around at Mens Warehouse website. I saw that you could order a color swatch. So I picked out 6 that I wanted to see so I would know how it really looked. When I think of a color swatch, I assume it is small pieces of the actual material so you can see them. Well I got it in the mail yesterday and all it is, is the colors printed on a card. It's the same thing I looked at online! Only harder to see! I guess I was just frustrated with the waste of time.

David's Bridal has actual cloth color swatches you can purchase. I'm suprised Men's Warehouse doesn't have something similiar.

Yup! I did the same thing. Totally disappointing. You can see the real ones in the store though.

I've seen some at a bridal show. But that was back in January. Just being lazy not wanting to go in the store yet. And my memory sucks so I thought I'd try it out just so I have it when I'm ready. Oh, well. Just irritated me when I got it out of the mailbox. And of course FH is just like, OK? Like, "what do you want me to say." LOL. Why I expected him to understand I don't know.

DB colors & Mens Warehouse colors are essentially the same... I would go into DB and ask for the swatches in your colors there.

My local DB was very rude when I went in there. They started out acting nice, but it didn't take long for that to change. One of my BM had to come in to help me since the consultant obviously wasn't. They stood outside the room while by BM helped me in and out of the dresses. Then when I found one I liked and asked them to bring the BM dress we liked over so I could see what it looked like together, she rolled her eyes and stomped off. Then the alterations lady made a point of saying that I NEEDED to make sure to bring in the money for alterations when the dress came in because they had to be done right away. Like I didn't have the money or something. Sorry for the long rant, but they really ticked me off. Needless to say I'm not going back.
