Color scheme help

Taylor, on November 16, 2021 at 11:50 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 13
Hello!
I am getting married next October. Our color scheme is burgundy and burnt orange. My fiancé is going to wear a burgundy suit and the groomsmen a more brown/tan suit. We’re going to make his vest a closer color to the groomsmen suit. I kind of like the idea of the bridesmaids wearing burgundy dresses and matching him but I don’t know if that’s weird? I’m nervous burnt orange dresses will clash against his suit while we’re standing for the ceremony and in pictures. I’m going to attach pictures for the colors we’re going for. Any thoughts? I think the burnt orange or the burgundy looks nice with the burgundy suit!

I actually really love the way the burnt orange dresses look, especially if you tied it all together with the colors in the bouquets and bouts Color scheme help 5

Yeah I’m doing all the flowers myself for the whole wedding with sola wood flowers. I’m planning most of the flowers to be white with some burgundy and burnt orange flowers and fall colors mixed in even for bouquets and boutonnières

I think burnt orange will look beautiful for a fall wedding. I don’t think the burgundy will clash as long as it’s warm/brown toned like the photo and not a bright red tone. Plus, the bridesmaids will likely be photographed next you.

I actually think burnt orange is better for the bridesmaids so that it’s not matchy matchy to the groom. Then their bouquets can include the burgundy colors.

While orange isn't my first choice (mostly because some oranges can be very bright) - the burnt orange is very pretty. The other thought that comes to mind that would match them to the groomsmen is a darker/fallish taupe color. (I know it isn't in the color scheme, but if you wanted to, you could easily add it in. With the suit color you kind of already have.) The colors in the flowers would really pop against that dress color and would help your groom standout even more. Just my two cents. Smiley smile
