Color Ideas

Several shades of purple would be beautiful. Very sexy & moody. My vote would be for black or gray, with or without some greenery. If you really want another color, a red or burgundy could play well and be a nice rich addition.

Our wedding is this year in October. We originally went with Lavender, but chose Lilac, green and gold.

Tons of colors work ! Pinterest fall wedding colors combos with purple. I don't know how purple you want to go but dark berry, wine and sangria are beautiful!

Colors aren't season specific so you can really do any color combination that you want, but if you are looking for a more season specific combination would say that lavender seems more of a spring or summer color. In my opinion a darker/deep purple is more of a fall color, but again your colors don't need to be season specific. I have included some different inspiration ideas.

I would go for a dark purple accented with gold and ivory, accented with ivy for greenery.

Might sound odd but have you seen ornamental cabbage used before? It's readily available in the Fall and looks pretty in arrangements, since it's mostly green/purple. The shape looks like a giant rose.

One of my good friends did purple and silver/grey as their colors. The groom and groomsmen all wore grey suits with purple ties (not a royal purple, but also not a lavender) and the bridesmaids wore dresses that matched the ties. It was BEAUTIFUL. They got married in Summer though.

I'm also having a Fall wedding. Our colors are darker- Burgundy and Navy with gold accents.

Pinterest is a wonderful place to see different pallets. My fiancé and I chose ours from there.

Personally, I'd say select colors you like best - don't worry about the "season". Like others here, I love the multiple shades of purple with a neutral and greenery mixed in.

I feel like you can either go dark or still keep it very light and airy but moody for fall vibes. I love the gray tones in these two palettes but it's not for everyone!

I'm doing lavender and sage! It's very dusty and whimsical. I think it's great for spring or fall!
