Hi all,

I am my cousin’s maid of honor. My cousin and her FH requested a coed shower. What is etiquette here as far as who plans/ hosts/ and pays for the shower? Is it just the bridesmaids? Is it both bridesmaids and groomsman? I am not sure what is right, so I’m looking for input!

It’s whoever wants/offers to host. Some of the showers I’ve attended have been hosted by wedding party members and others have been hosted by family members. There’s really no right or wrong answer here.

Whoever offers to host is responsible for planning and paying.

The host usually does the planning and paying. We had a couples shower and my MOH did everything but if you want more of a guys input, maybe talk to the best man and see if he wants to help you and you can split the costs.

We just had our "Brews Before I Do's" party last weekend! We did a streetcar pub crawl. My sister planned most of the night with with input from us. She bought everyone appetizers at the first brewery and his brother (best man) bought the drinks. They also bought the street car tickets. After the first place, we went to 3 more breweries and everyone bought their own drinks or if they wanted more food. We requested no gifts - we just wanted to have a fun time with our close friends.

My brother was the best man and they did a coed shower. He split cost actually 4 ways with MOH, brides mom and grooms mom for shower. I actually thought the idea was cool because the pressure wasnt on anyone one person
