Cocktail Hour Help!

Sydney, on January 1, 2020 at 9:31 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
I am having trouble deciding what food to serve during our cocktail hour. We are serving BBQ as our main course at the reception and the cocktail hour my family will be prepared before the ceremony. We thought about the usual cheese & crackers and varieties of fruit, but I also thought maybe that doesn’t really go well with BBQ.

Any advice would help. Thanks in advance!!

I think it goes perfectly fine with bbq! Cheese and crackers, fruit, veggies and dips!

First off there is never a bad time for cheese and crackers. EVER! lol. I think it will go well or maybe pigs in blanket or crockpot meatballs with tooth picks to keep with the theme.

I like your apps. I think a little offering before the bbq is a good idea

We served bbq for dinner and we also decided on the cheese crackers and fruit for cocktail hour. Perfect appetizer honestly.

Totally! And yet not too filling guests; guests will still be ready to enjoy dinner. 😋

We are having BBQ as well and are doing cheese and crackers, fruit/veggie tray, jalapeno poppers, chips and dips (pimento cheese, buffalo chicken, and spinach artichoke). Nothing too heavy to spoil dinner.

Cheese and crackers go with everything. What does your cater offer for appetizers?
