Okay so we are having a pizza bar (FH one and only request) because we aren't going for anything too formal. We want laid back and fun. However, my venue coordinator wants to know ideas for appetizers and I honestly have none. She said we should find something that compliments our dinner. It starts with a sit down house salad and then people will be released by table to the pizza bar. Any ideas on something that can compliment the dinner ? I am also posting our pizza bar inspiration picture. My goal is to have FH look as excited as the bride does. His favorite food in the world is pizza.

I agree with the other ladies, wings, bruchetta, breadsticks with a marinara dipping sauce, and some veggies ! Made my mouth watery!! Best of luck!

Maybe a sausage, pepper and onion kebab or slider, bruschetta, caprese skewers, shrimp cocktail, prosciutto wrapped melon... just a couple of ideas.

I wish we had thought of this before booking our caterer!

For lactose intolerant, you can do a veggie pizza with pesto(cheese free) I personally love it.

@Bethany H. All our food is being made on site. They will be brought out freshly made and still hot. Our venue is known for their catering so I'm positive they can handle gourmet pizzas.

Hey fellow pizza bar bride!!!! FH and I are so excited for our pizza dinner. We are doing breadsticks and pastas as sides.

ETA: our caterer brings in a wood fire grill and cooks them all on site and then they are actually delivered family style to each table so I guess it's not technical a pizza bar for us but close enough!

@Future yay! I love that idea! The only reason I am doing buffet is because it saved us per person and I figured if we need to cut costs anywhere then having a buffet vs a meal delivered to the table then it was the perfect place to cut. Wood fire pizzas are the best!

Wings and salad sound good too. Different sauces on the side?

I'm not a fan of pizza.

Pizza joints usually serve garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, wings, some type of dip. I think garlic knots would be good if you're not too worried about serving lots of carbs at your wedding (which you don't seem to be) as well as chips and dip and maybe a veggie platter to keep it balanced.

Do you have any lactose intolerant guests or gluten allergies? Make sure all your guest know that you are having a pizza bar. This would be my worst nightmare.

Veggies Meatballs and gluten free pasta are a great option.

For apps I'd go with fresh veggies, bruchetta, Chicken/buffalo wings
