If you found the same dresses as you saw at DB but way cheaper, it's probably a Chinese knockoff site and I would advise avoiding them at all costs.

Broken english, clearly stolen pictures with chopped heads, no designer or brand names... this is a knock off site. They will send you a "similar dress". The returns process will be impossible, and you will have to pay for all shipping back to them.

I ordered from alibaba.com because they are like an asian eBay. The seller I chose makes the dresses they advertise, no knock offs. I ordered just one at first to see the quality and it was great, so I placed the larger order afterwards. It is a risk, but I had to take it because all my BM are dirt poor and I had to pay for their dresses.

Prisandbigfootsbuddy I have seen that site too. Do they ship from China?

Alibaba.com is like a marketplace. There are good sellers and bad sellers. The reviews are usually a good indicator because they allow pictures. The good thing with them is that the marketplace holds your money (if you pay through the website's alipay) before giving it to the seller. You have to confirm the goods as received and satisfied manually. If you are unsatisfied with the seller its very easy to get the money back.

You can definitely rent these on rent the runway.

This website sucks--- sorry I scrolled and didn't read many of the comments, I had bough some clothes and literally one wash and it was destroyed I also ordered express and it took a month. And I still haven't gotten my complete order, and one last thing: THEY DO EVERY TYPE OF COMMUNICATION VIA EMAIL. So yeah not a happy camper over here, but best of luck!!!!!! (:

I would be weary about ordering off of a site with dresses cheaper than DB

I ordered from cichic.com a long time ago. Don't do it! I thought I was getting a cute sundress, but It was a cheap look-a-like. The fabric was terrible and it was sewn together so poorly that it fell apart when I tried to put it on. Haha

Typically they use pictures of designer items and send you a cheap version.

I was in love with the gold sequin as well. I ordered off Shop Revelry. The dresses are coming in now and they have been really good quality. I'm very happy with the quality and the size is very to true to the size chart.

It's still less than the DB price and you get more variety. Also sequin quality is better than the one at david's.
