Choosing a photographer

I'm lost! This is all sooo new to me! I've been getting into contact with photographers for my wedding and found two I absolutely love, but both for different reasons.

Photographer A) In our price range!
Photographer B) Actually has been emailing me a lot and getting to know us, asking questions, etc.

Would you choose the person whose in our price range because we know we can afford that. Or do we go with someone whose a little expensive ( almost $1,200 difference) is definitely taking the time to get to know my FH and I?

I wouldn't hire any vendor out of your price range. That's a good way to go over budget real fast, and $1,200 is a lot to go over for one vendor. Of course, you still want to choose someone that wants to get to know you if possible, but considering you haven't hired them yet, it's not out of the ordinary that they haven't been asking a whole bunch of personal questions yet. To me the vendors that are all up in your grill right of the bat before you've even hired them don't seem super genuine to me. Normally you get to know your photographer through an initial meeting and an engagement shoot (if you have one).

You still have time, I would wait on deciding and keep looking. Maybe you’ll find someone whose work you love, is in your price range, AND responds to messages! It’s great that the second vendor is responsive but I wouldn’t recommend going over budget just for that. There have GOT to be other people out there.
We were about to jump the gun on our photographer but decided to wait a week or two and keep looking and I’m so glad we did, because we found someone who was more our style and had a better offer.
