That’s fine as long as you give guests advance notice and are fine with a higher decline rate.

Our wedding will be A Thursday. We’re planning on sending save the dates about 11 months in advance and a lot of people are already aware of that. We understand some people may not be able to make it.

We are having one. It is a destination wedding though. I probably wouldn't do this if staying locally.

I think it’s okay if you give advance notice and most of your guests are local. We got a save the date recently for a Thursday wedding in a different state and there’s no way we can each take 3 days off of work to attend.

We had a tiny wedding of immediate family on a Wednesday. We just had a quick ceremony and a reception at a restaurant and the whole thing was over by 8pm.
I think it depends on who your guest list is in terms of how many will decline. I also don't think many will be up for partying so if that's more the vibe you are wanting I think you will be disappointed. Having said that, I loved getting married in the middle of the week and the prices we got were amazing!

We're doing a Thursday night wedding. Two weeks left to RSVP, only 20 have so far. 🤷‍♀️ But it was definitely worth it for us in savings. All our guests live close and a lot of them work weekends, so it would have been an issue for them if we chose a Saturday.

I say if it is better for your budget then do it. Maybe still hold it after work like maybe a 5-6 ceremony and 7-10 reception? People may leave early but they may show more.

If mostly local guests (less than 1 hour drive), totally fine! My hubby & I would probably leave by 8:30 or 9 pm though.

I would only attend a Thursday wedding if I was very close with the couple and it was within 1 hour of my house.
