Choosing a date to honor another couple

Samantha, on June 21, 2021 at 5:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
I just got back from a lovely wedding today, fh’s niece.
I wondered why they had it on a Monday, but found out at the rehearsal dinner last night - it’s also the groom’s parents 35th anniversary!
I thought that was very sweet. Anyone else set a date to honor someone else’s wedding?

Our original date was FHs grandparents anniversary but due to Covid we had to postpone and we didn’t want to wait another year for the same date.

My friend who got married in 2019 shares a wedding date with her parents and grandparents. They got a cute family picture with a tree connecting the three wedding pictures

One of my best friends got married on my parents' 51st wedding anniversary, and as it happens, my parents unknowingly got married on my dad's parents' wedding anniversary!

If we'd have wanted that date though, we would have had to wait until 2024 if we wanted it on a weekend... we figured the 17 months we waited from when we got engaged was long enough, lol.
