Chocolate cupcake flavor ideas!

Hi, ladies...


Now that my fiancé and I have our cake tasting date set, I need some help for a chocolate cup flavor. I’d like to do something different than the standard chocolate, so does anyone have any ideas? For our wedding cake, we have decided on: vanilla funfetti, red velvet, and lemon poppyseed. We want to have two different cupcake flavors (we’ve decided on vanilla coconut as one of them) so now I need to decide on a chocolate one!

    Chocolate salted caramel or dark chocolate raspberry? I am a chocoholic and I would be drawn towards anything dark chocolate lol

    I personally don't like chocolate cake or cupcakes because of how sweet they tend to be so I wouldn't overdo on the chocolate. My advice is not to use any type of chocolate icing.

    I'm always a fan of chocolate and berries. Our wedding cake was chocolate cake with a fresh strawberry filling and a vanilla buttercream icing.

    These two flavors are also my favorites! I'm actually not a chocolate cake person, but paired with caramel or raspberry - I'm a fan!

    I had a few cake tastings a while back and one of the bakeries we tried had a German chocolate cake(chocolate with coconut/pecan filling) that was absolutely divine.

    Dark chocolate or chocolate and salted caramel.

    I'm a chocoholic, but I'm also a purist. (I literally just had homemade chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, and dark chocolate sauce. It was dreamy.)

    It's not that things *don't* tasted good with chocolate. I just... don't see the point of distracting from the chocolate.

    White chocolate, with raspberry puree / filling

    Chocolate with salted caramel with pretzel

    Turtle - fudge, caramel, pecans

    One of our (off the wall) flavors randomly chosen was Strawberry cake with passion fruit icing. - we had no idea how great it would be and it turned out to be our favorite and one of our wedding cupcake flavors.

    maybe if you like mint you can do choclate with a mint butter cream taste like a girl scout cookie
