Chicken dish

Sarah, on January 31, 2017 at 3:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 27

I'm hashing out my contract with my caterer. Originally I chose to do a chicken in a white wine sauce but now I've decided not to do that. My fiancé is firmly against doing fried chicken so that's not an option. I know people say to ask what the caterers specialty is but that was what I originally picked (white whine sauce) and I don't want to use that. What chicken dish is being served at your wedding, or was served at your wedding and was really popular?! Thanks yall!

I would go with the caterer's specialty. It's their specialty for a reason. Are you not wanting to use it because you personally don't like it?

If that's the case, just keep in mind that just because you don't like it doesn't mean your guests won't.

We have three chicken options: chicken with spinach, red peppers, and mozzarella, chicken with white wine sauce (LOL), and chicken marsala. It's early for us yet, but FH said absolutely no to the marsala because his whole family hates mushrooms haha. Any specific reason you don't want to do the white wine sauce?

We're doing "herb chicken" and it's exactly what it sounds like haha It has a little crisp to it because it's roasted and I think it will be pleasing to the most guests (their other option was a chicken pastry thing with white sauce that sounded like guests would either love or hate it).

I like the idea of a roasted herb chicken. What are your other entree options?

I actually never even tasted our chicken dish!! We knew we needed to offer one but were more interested in trying the other options at our tasting Smiley smile

Our chicken entree was: Free Range Roasted Chicken Breast with Fingerling Potato and Prosciutto Hash, Haricot Vert and Roasted Red Peppers, and Thyme Veloute.

I'd ask your caterer for their top 3 chicken dishes and pick from there!

Not sure who your question was directed at but I'll answer haha we are doing our roasted herb chicken, 6 oz filet mignon, and eggplant parmesan. I think people often over-think what to offer for dinner! I was worried at first picking the eggplant as a third option but ultimately decided our other 2 options are "safe" and it was delicious so anyone feeling adventurous will have a great meal! What are the other options? The caterer should be giving you options, not just making you think of random chicken dishes lol.

Our chicken dish was chicken Chesapeake- grilled chicken breast with crab imperial on top.

We're doing chicken Caprese. I'm a beef eater by nature, but this sounds so amazing that I'll probably end up ordering it!

    What are your options?
