Having the hardest time deciding on a main dish! My mother and soon to be in law love beef but my fiance and I like the chicken! Who do we make happy?

Agree with PPs - cut your guest list and offer more meal options. With 300 guests, you are going to have many who can't eat either the chicken cordon bleu or the beef due to dietary restrictions. As yummy as I think chicken cordon blue is, if you only have one option, it should be a chicken dish without the breading, ham, and cheese. Though that won't feed the vegetarians/vegans. We only had 75 guests, and those two options would have been an issue because some of our guests are vegetarians/pescatarians, some do not eat red meat or pork for religious reasons, one has celiacs, and one has a severe dairy sensitivity. Also, with your wedding being two years away, you should not have to finalize your meal yet. We didn't until a month before our wedding (after several tastings).

I wouldn't eat the chicken because it has cheese, I also wouldn't eat the beef because I don't like red meats too much.

Cut your guest list or offer two entres.

With 300 guests, there is no way that either of those options will cover everyone. Example, I told my FH point blank that we had to have a chicken option as my sister/MOH does not eat red meat. I also told him that we have to have a veggie option for my cousin.

I would go with one chicken with no gluten or ham, and one vegan. Not offering beef is fine.

Do chicken. A lot of people don't eat red meat. And with the ham in it, id look at different chicken options even if you do decide to go with 2 options.

These were are two choices for our buffet dinner and both were a hit! I would consider both honestly if at all possible.

Beef. Cordon bleu, especially served en masse, *stanks.*

I think it is unrealistic to select a single entree to serve 300 guests.
