Cheapest place to get nice looking invitations?

Karyn, on July 26, 2016 at 10:17 AM Posted in Planning 1 33

Where is a good place to get a deal on wedding invites? Also, how many extra should be ordered?

You could use Microsoft Word to make your owe & have Staples print them

The kind you print yourself from Michaels is cheapest. Then Vistaprint, then Zazzle/Wedding Paper Divas, etc.

Remember to order invites by family, not by guest (a surprisingly easy error to make). I only ordered about 10 extra in case I ruined them, but honestly you really only need extra envelopes. Also, don't forget to have at least one full set saved so that your photographer can snap a picture of them.

Hey there! Have you heard of wedding paper divas? They have cute affordable stationary and currently on giltcity.com there is a half off deal. If you buy a $100 voucher, you get $200 worth or $250 for $500 worth, etc. I just purchased mine yesterday, the $250 option. The only thing is everything must be purchased at once and by early October. Hope this helps!

Vistaprint is pretty cheap- also wedding paper divas sometimes has great sales. You can always make the yourself. I am ordering about 10 extra just because.

We bought a suite on etsy for cheap and then had them printed on vistaprint for real cheap. They came out great! We ordered 25 more than we needed just in case.

I used Vistaprint and absolutely loved them. They have 40-50% off sales a lot so I got a great deal. We invited 350 guests, so I ordered 250 invitations (sent out about 200 so far since some came back or hadn't arrived and needed to be resent.) 250 was overkill, but I wanted more than 200 and due to their price list 250 came out to cost less than 225.

I ordered from Etsy and they are beautiful! Cheaper than WeddingPaperDivas even with discounts. I believe we got 85 invitations, reply cards, enclosure cards, reply envelopes, invitation envelopes, and a custom return address stamp for around $300! On very nice paper I might add!

ETA: We only ordered about 8 extra!

You can look for wedding invites on Lotus Card Studio http://www.lotuscardstudio.com They can also custom design your invitation and provide matching stationery too. They already provide some extra invites I guess around 10.

You just missed Vistaprint's semi-annual 50% off sale, but keep an eye out because they run specials all the time. I love my invitations from there and I only paid about $1 per invitation (including RSVP card and both envelopes).

We had a great experience with shutterfly and they almost always have coupons.

Also, Sam's Club and Costco do wedding suites!
