Mine was already altered to fit someone at a very similar size as me, saving a boatload on alterations. I just took my dress to a seamstress over the weekend to fix a bit of wear and tear on it, then it should be good to go.

It's about the rental. I'm lucky in that the only dress rental place I know of here in Dallas is within a mile of my house. So it'll be convenient going that route. I've also started paying attention on thrift store and see some really cute dresses, although nothing on my size or in the style I'm looking for. As long as you aren't under a time crunch, enjoy the search!
