IDK if I want to share photos, but I impulse bought a beautiful looking wedding dress off one of these cheap Chinese sites, and it doesn't even come close to fitting lol. IDK if I want to share photos, but I impulse bought a beautiful looking wedding dress off one of these cheap Chinese sites, and it doesn't even come close to fitting lol. I already have a dress I bought in person, so it's not a huge deal. The one I bought in person is simpler (I'm not one to blow the bank on a dress), so this one would have been the 'fantasy' dress. It's just crazy because I went exactly by the size chart on the website, and I'm a pretty cookie-cutter body type, but its just made for a way smaller, shorter girl and won't even zip. So I guess this is a warning for all the other brides out there ... I emailed the company, hopefully they will let me return it.

When buying dresses from China, you definitely have to do your research and cannot take their word for the quality of their work. Actual photos of their work and reviews helped me make my decision to purchase a dress from China. I used an ETSY vendor (Carabridal) and messaged the seller for photos and all the ladies who purchased from her and received their dresses. Her work is so beautiful and is not cheaply made at all. Just take your time and RESEARCH, do not rush. I researched for a year for the best Chinese dress store and I finally found it and cannot be happier with my choice... No regrets at all! When I put my dress on, I never want to take it off.

Here are some photos of my dress:

So sorry to hear your dress didn't turn out right. My dress bought on ebay from China was also a waste of money and an exercise in frustration trying to get a refund. It fit ok, but the material and "workmanship" was cheap and horrible- lace all crooked and sticking out, torn in some places, etc. It would not have been worth it to try to sell it to another person. These sellers probably expect that most people won't go through the bother and expense of returning the dresses.

I still cannot understand why, with all the horror stories, people are still ordering Chinese knock-off dresses.

Once in a blue moon, someone has OK results, but when the reviews are 90% negative, that's a pretty obvious warning NOT TO PURCHASE!

My veil came from China ($18). It had one minor issue at the top, they ran out of lace and hacked an extra piece on. Well I took it with my dress for alterations and the seamstress told me it took her all of five seconds to fix. And it looks great!!

I dont know if I could buy a dress from China (I would be NERVOUS), but I was pleased with my veil!! A similar one at a bridal shop was over $200!!
