Cheap, but Beautiful Venues

Jazzmin, on December 1, 2020 at 2:07 PM Posted in Wisconsin Planning 0 20

Hello all,

So my wedding was supposed to happen on July 11, 2020, and it did. It was a very, very small ceremony with a backyard reception. However, my husband and I are looking into venues for May of 2022 that are on the cheaper side so that we can have the reception we wanted with our loved ones. Any suggestions? Or advice on how to go about this?

Your location, guest count, and/or budget may be helpful in getting better recommendations.

    Hi Jazzmin!

I know this can sound tedious but go through either here WW or The Knot and take a look at the venue section. You can ask vendors about their pricing to better get an idea of what's going to be in your price range.

Have you considered having a ceremony and reception for your 5 year anniversary instead?

Due to the way our jobs work once my husband graduates, its hard to plan that away from where the majority of our guests live. We figured doing it his graduation weekend would be a double celebration along with just the reception

Like Victoria mentioned, take a look at browsing the vendors section on WW or The Knot. Even google wedding venues in your area so you have a wide range of options to choose from!

It's best to have your est. guest count, location, and budget already figured out before you look for a venue. That way you have a clear vision of what will best fit your needs.

We have been looking at our guest list a little closer now. We have about 230 guests, which isn't too large from what I understand, but I still want to downsize.

Thanks so much for that! Our budget is fairly small, but since both our husband and I are working for the next 2 years we can...splurge? I guess, but I don't want to splurge too much.

Where are you located? This will help other brides/grooms be able to give you suggestions. Also, what do you consider "cheaper"?

I would start by checking the venue tab here on WW or on The Knot.
