Hey guys! Does anyone know of any Charleston (or surrounding area) caterers for no more than $10 a head? We are on a decently tight budget and just can't find anything.

Try Olive Garden or a local BBQ place. Olive garden will deliver but will not set up and break down.

    This.

OP, your options are pretty much to have a wedding from 2-5 with some light snacks, cake, and punch, or to cut your guest list down so you can afford to feed everyone a real meal if your reception goes over a meal time.

You're listing Edisto Hall as your venue. Check out the Wappoo Shelter. Next to water and half the price. Adding an extra $500 to your catering budget will open up a lot.

I'm having hyvee cater my wedding and it's still $15 a head. Hyvee is basically just a nice grocery store.

    Good morning!

I've had time to read and reflect on your responses! I appreciate multiple people insinuating that I cannot afford to throw a party or that I don't deserve a beautiful wedding because I can't rationalize spending three or four house payments on food for one night.

For those of you that asked, I am expecting about 90 at my wedding, all of whom are immediate family and very close family friends, i.e. I didn't just invite everyone I know. In fact, we have already cut our guest list. My question was if anyone KNEW any places. The budget I have set was specifically FOOD. I have a different number all together for drinks.

I did manage to find a great place that the locals love, that does fit my budget. I'd also like to comment that NONE of my venders that I have selected are above the budget that my fiance and I have set for our selves.

We are just a couple that would like to celebrate with our family and friends, the fact that after 6 years we are finally tying the knot.

Thank you all for the help.

You know, I'm sorry. I really was trying to be helpful but I definitely did assume things you hadn't said. Since I'm also local I'd love to hear what you're going with.

    Hi Dakota,

I'd love to hear more about who catered your wedding. I'm also in Charleston and searching for caterers. We're in the same plate and can not justify spending a few mortgage payments on food for other people (for one night!). TIA for any insight you can provide Smiley smile
