Charger plate size...?

I think it'd look a little weird for the chargers to be the same size as the plate, and to be clear - I feel like that kind of defeats the purpose of chargers. We're also having a buffet with nice disposable plastic plates at the buffet, and we're using foil doilies as chargers. They're way cheaper, easy to dispose of at the end of the night, and still look really pretty.

We're doing the same thing! I agree that having chargers that are clear and the same size as the dinner plate kind of defeats the purpose of having a charger. We couldn't justify spending $125-$150 on chargers, so we found foil doilies from Webstaurant for much cheaper.

We had a buffet as well and opted to skip the charger plates. Instead, we just did linen napkins with a "pocket" fold and a menu/thank you inside.

I think it would confuse guests to have a plate under a plate, they would most likely know it wasn't a charger and you probably wouldn't get the same look.

Hey Macie I like your choice your final decision I think Gold would look good as well. And its always good to save $$ wherever possible .
