Changing my date.

Hi ladies, I am 4 months away from my wedding. And I no longer can get married at my original venue.. (it was a park ) so I found another one. But they’re booked on my original date. (As is every other venue in my price range) so I’m wondering how to word that the date is changing.. from the 9th to the 10th. It’s not a huge difference which is nice but still I’m scared it’s gonna effect a lot of people’s attendance.. thank you in advance.

    I'm so sorry that happened. Did you get your invitations yet? If you did, then I would maybe see if you can get them reprinted or get some business card sized detail cards to explain the change. I would definitely do it formally rather than just word of mouth. You don't want people to show up to the wrong place on the wrong day!

    You could send out another round of save the dates, or you could send out your invitations a couple weeks earlier with a note explaining (and highlighting) the change.
    I'd also suggest a quick attempt of the word of mouth, email, text variety.

    Hey Mary! I'm so sorry that this has happened with your venue!

    I would send out new STD's with your amended wedding date and venue and highlight this chance with a small explanation that this had to be changed, it was beyond your control and you hope that your guests can still make it. People will totally understand, but you still should get this information out as soon as possible!
