Change your date or videographer?

It depends on how far along into the planning process you are. If you’ve already booked other major vendors and/or sent out save the dates, I wouldn’t change the date just for a videographer.

Nope haven't booked anything just yet.
The venue we want is available for the date the videographer is available I just didn't know if it was too silly to switch it all up for a videographer, you know what I mean?
I've gotten mixed reviews. You can find someone else and others have said yes.
So I am horrible at decisions lol

Also right now we are thinking June 20,2020, if I switched my date it would be in July of 2020 so I would have more time to plan

View Quoted Comment How important is the date to you? Are the dates far apart or in the same season? If it’s a week difference and you haven’t booked anything yet, sure. If you have to switch from a fall wedding to a spring wedding, probably not.

When we had to change our date. The first person I called to see if available was our videographer!. If you love the quality of their work and your venue has the date then go for it!

I think if you’re early in on the planning and booking of other vendors, your venue is open the date that your videographer is and you and FH are fine with changing the date then go for it!! It’s much easier now then to have to change multiple things down the road

I once sat next to a [drunk] girl who contemplated changing her date (5 months out) so she could get the photographer she wanted.
I personally am having my fall wedding in March because my photographer was available that weekend.
I think it depends if the date or the videographer is more important to you.
If the date doesn't have a specific significance to you, I'd say change it.

If I hadn't booked anything or sent save the dates yet, then I would change it

When I was trying to get married in 2019, I was picking a date based off when my hair stylist was available. Haha. If the videographer is that important, I would definitely change the date since you guys haven't booked anything yet!

If the date isn’t very important to you, I see nothing wrong with changing it to a date the videographer is available! We really wanted a Leap Day wedding so we weren’t negotiable on the date.

If the date isn't significant to you, and you haven't booked anything, I'd say change the date.
