I was talking to a friend of mine about the wedding and she told me that I should probably bring an outfit that I can change into if I want to at the reception because I might just wanr the dress off of me. She personally had a really small wedding and was pregnant when she got married. But it still got me thinking, did anyone bring a second outfit to the reception to change into? Not a second wedding dress burn outfit In case they didn't want to be in their wedding dress anymore. My dress is very sentimental to me, and I'm getting it custom to fit my body how I want it to, so I think I won't want to take it off but I don't know now.

I'm planning to wear my dress all night, but I will probably change into something else right before the send-off, just for the sake of being more comfortable in the car.

I will stay in mine for most of the photos and and probably change after the first dance into something. My wedding is an outdoor wedding in June and is music festival themed (live bands and food trucks) so I'm probably just going to change into a simple white maxi dress you'd find in any department store. Another reason being if I want to sell my dress, I certainly can't have grass stains everywhere on it so it helps keep it nice as well.

I too purchased a dress similar to this for the reception. We are getting married in a July and I wanted a back up that was slinky. It truly a back up and I got it on super sale for $30 in Adriane Pappels website a month back.

I wore my dress all night. I spent the money, I was dang sure not going to take it off until absolutely necessary. I would have slept in it if I thought there'd be room in the bed.

I'm going to wear my dress as long as possible. A few drinks and being busy/distracted will help with not thinking about it.

With that said, I also have severe paranoia and belief in Murphey's law so I may bring a cheap white dress ($100 or less) that is casual so it can have a life after/before the wedding to change into in case something terrible happens to the dress like a giant tear, wine stain, etc.

My dress was almost a grand and I only plan on wearing it once in my life so I’m gonna get my moneys worth and wear it all night lol but my ceremony is also gonna be around 20-30 minutes so regardless of how much my dress would cost I still would find it silly to only wear it for 30 minutes then get rid of it but that’s just me
