Change of outfit

AtoK, on March 21, 2018 at 8:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26
I was talking to a friend of mine about the wedding and she told me that I should probably bring an outfit that I can change into if I want to at the reception because I might just wanr the dress off of me. She personally had a really small wedding and was pregnant when she got married. But it still got me thinking, did anyone bring a second outfit to the reception to change into? Not a second wedding dress burn outfit In case they didn't want to be in their wedding dress anymore. My dress is very sentimental to me, and I'm getting it custom to fit my body how I want it to, so I think I won't want to take it off but I don't know now.

I wasn’t planning to change out of my dress. We are only going to wear it once and if your getting it custom made i’d Keep it on all night.

I plan on wearing my dress all night. I don't understand why someone would spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on a custom-tailored dress and only wear it for the ceremony. I guess if someone has the budget for two dresses, then it's all up to them, but changing seems more of a hassle to me.

I bought a second dress for the reception just in case, more than likely I will end up changing but not till later in the night after all the important dances etc. It's still formal but lightweight compared to my huge ballgown I have for the ceremony. I still want to feel bridal for the day you know?!

I'm wearing my dress all night and to the party afterwards. I may just sleep in it (its super comfy!) lol

I may also follow in this brides footsteps:

I’m wearing the same dress, but I choose one that would be comfortable all night, it’s very lightweight!

I'm wearing my wedding dress all day. One of the reasons I picked my dress is because it is lightweight and comfortable, so it shouldn't be causing me discomfort by the time the reception rolls around.

My wedding dress has no train, no veil, no layers, no tulle, no heavy fabric, for the purpose of being wearable the entire night. I have a very short ceremony (we're trying to get it done in about 10min or so) and it would make no sense for me to buy another dress.
I know some brides change into short dresses for the reception in the summer due to heat exhaustion and such, but I'm getting married in October so I don't have that problem 😊

My dress was very affordable so I’m changing. Kidding lol but I do have a tulle skirt to wear over it for the ceremony until after brunch and then I’ll take that off and wear the dress as is for the rest of the day.

I'm getting a short white dress to change into since we're having a July wedding and it's going to be toasty for our outdoor reception. I'll probably change after we do our first dance. If I was having an indoor reception though I probably wouldn't change my dress.

I haven't decided yet. Wedding is in October. I live within a mile of both the ceremony and reception, so I could run home to change if needed, but don't really want to leave. We're having an outside, country ceremony. I'm expecting many people will be wearing their "Sunday best". I'm thinking a long, flowy skirt that I would definitely wear again. I already have a sparkly top to pair with it. I know our friends, and the celebration will likely go well into the night. I also will have never worn my dress for more than a few minutes, so who knows how comfortable/manageable it will actually be after several hours.

I'm wearing mine, but I will have something to change into right before we leave so my mom can have the dress preserved. We live in CO, and the wedding will be in LA.

I want to wear my dress all night, but I'm thinking of having another dress on deck just in case. It would likely be something short that is also appropriate to wear the next day at our family dinner (so it doesn't go to waste).
