Champagne Toast or Nah???

Hi! I just got my final estimate for my wedding next month. We're expecting a total of 48 guests and the venue is charging about $700 just for the champagne. Is this reasonable? Do I have to have a champagne toast? I'm questioning everything at this point, especially the budget.

Yeah put that money somewhere else, sounds like they are padding that number a lot. I really like champagne (I think FIL's are buying us a bottle of Dom Perignon for the hotel after the wedding, that's kind of a tradition in their family) but at $15 per person I'd give them apple juice (high quality, of course) before champagne. It doesn't make you any more married, as Zoe said.

Yeah. I'd just skip it. We're doing a toast with whatever everyone already has. We're only having champagne because we're having mimosas.

Every wedding I have been to, almost no one drinks the champagne. Perfectly ok to skip.

Wow, that's crazy over-priced! Mine is included in pkg as an option between champagne toast or wine on the tables. I think we're doing wine on guest tables. I say pocket that $$

Ours was quoted at the cheapest... $58 a bottle! Which is ridiculous! And we can’t order it from outside
