So my venue provides us with chairs for the ceremony and reception. I finally found a few pictures on here from the venue from this year. The chairs they have are just plain black ones, they look alright for the reception area. At first I didn't like the idea of black chairs but I'm going to deal with it since they come with the venue and do look decent in photographs; which is helping me feel better. My issue is I really dislike the idea of black chairs for the ceremony area, I feel like it will look dark and drab with them. I didn't realize this until October, but I thought that they had white folding chairs for the ceremony space but then was told that the white chairs are for another venue that my hotel owns about 2 miles away. The only solution would be to rent the white chairs, I'm just having a hard time justifying the added expense since chairs are included with the venue. I'm also irritated because I asked them about this when I signed my contract and they said verbally they have white chairs. As I write this I realize I sound super irrational. So what do you all think should I rent white chairs or will it only bug me that we have black chairs for the ceremony?

Thank you! That makes me feel better that it doesn't look so dark.

You're welcome! There aren't a ton of photos online, but those were the ones I could find. I think the chairs will look fine. Black also matches everything so you don't have to worry about matching. The chairs we had didn't match any of our wedding colors which is why I didn't like them, but it wasn't worth $8.50 per chair for different ones.

I really think you are overthinking this. Your guests will not likely care (or even notice) what color the ceremony chairs are. They will simply find a seat and sit down without giving it a thought. As for pictures, I think once people are in the chairs, you'll barely see them, let alone what color they are. I feel that way even more after seeing PPs photos above.

Save the money, go with the black chairs. It's not going to ruin anything. Smiley smile

Thank you! They do blend it. I guess black chairs will be ok.
