I'm having a hard time finding a venue near Indianapolis in our budget. We're paying for the entire thing with our own money so funds are limited. My dream wedding was in a barn or something else rustic, but every place I look is $3000 or above. I didn't want to spend more than $1000 on a venue. I have found some venues, but they just weren't "the one". If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

    Hmmm... I don't live around your area, but I can imagine that it would be difficult to find yourself a dream venue that costs upwards to $1000, I mean it's possible, but really difficult. You can perhaps look into having your wedding at a public park perhaps to really cut down on costs.

    I looked on Eventective for you, and found some really affordable and beautiful venues, depending on the guest list, such as the Smith House or the 416 Wabash, and more, I'll leave you a link.

    Hi Ashleigh! Are you budgeting separately for food & booze? Or is that included in the venue cost? Sometimes it can be more expensive to pay for catering separately from your venue rental!

    Also check out Old Barn at Salomon Farm Park, Sand Creek Country Club, and Hidden Hollow Farm!

    I ended up finding a barn venue. We're going to look at it this Sunday. It's more than I wanted to spend, but it included a lot of extras and I get it the entire weekend so it was actually a pretty good deal.
