Ceremony - Wedding Party Seating

Mandi, on January 24, 2020 at 2:19 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5
I'm in a very heavily Catholic populated area. So I've seen bridal parties and even brides and grooms be seated during the wedding ceremony... Since we are not having a Catholic wedding, I just planned on having our party stand with us for the 15-20 minutes of our ceremony and no issues.

That being said, my MOH has since been put on rest and then cleared with her pregnancy.
And another bridesmaid will be 5 months along with twins. [Originally we thought 3 months.]
Obviously, I want to allow them the option of seating if needed. And I don't need to have this worked out until rehearsal.
But I'm looking for options.
So I have the entire bridal party stand except for them? And have the other two bridesmaids stand behind them?
Do I have the bridal party be seated and face the crowd? Is that awkward?
Seated and face us? From the side or the crowd?
I'm just looking for some options. Because I want my friends and their babies to be safe and healthy!

I would try a variety of things at the rehearsal and see what works better and what looks best.

I was in a wedding this summer where the bridal party was seated. The ceremony took place on a stage in a theater. But we were angled in a way that we were almost turned towards the bride and groom so we could watch them during the ceremony.

In our wedding we are putting them to sit in the front row after they walk down the aisle. Groomsmen the same thing so it won't look weird.

I think this would look the most cohesive.

You could also angle them to the side of you or at an angle if you'd like

I agree with PP's, I think having the entire wedding party seated might make everything come together nicer. But it could look even better when you execute another idea in person at the rehearsal, I wouldn't stress over it too much yet Smiley smile

I agree with the previous two that everyone seated would be best. People do all kinds of things so don’t stress too much over this.
