Is 6 too late for a ceremony? what time did your ceremony start? did you have enough time for photos?

My ceremony started at 4:30 pm, but I've been to plenty of weddings that started between 6 and 7 and it seemed fine.

6pm should be good! I wouldn't recommend starting any later (such as, 7pm), since it then starts to cut into the reception time, but 6pm seems like a pretty good start time!

AS long as you don't have a super long ceremony I think it would work just fine.

We had our ceremony at 5:30 and did a first look so we were fine. I would also consider the time of year and sunset in your area.

My ceremony started at 4:30, but I think 6 would be fine. The only problems would be what time it gets dark if you want photos after the ceremony. I would recommend doing as many photos ahead of time that way you can avoid it possibly being dark and starting the meal really late.

I think it's fine. Our ceremony started around 5:30. I think as long as you have food at cocktail hour & dinner is served at the start of the reception, it's fine. The only wedding we went to that I thought was ridiculous had dinner served at 10PM and we were dying of starvation.
