Ceremony Start Time

Chantal, on May 20, 2019 at 8:58 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
Sunset is projected to be around 6:30 so i don't know when i should start the ceremony so everything is finished to be able to take just couple pictures during the sunset.. I was wanting to end the wedding/reception around 10. We are getting married outside of Houston October 19, 2019. Thanks for the help!

I would talk to your photographer. He or she can give you a better idea of how long it would take to get pictures.

My photographer helped create our timeline to where would be able to get away for that special “golden hour” of the sunset. She had it to be at 7:30, so our super quick ceremony was to start at 5:30, we would have an hour long cocktail hour and start dinner at 6:45. Then do our toasts and dances and take a few moments at 7:30 to snap those pictures. The timeline worked out perfectly!

    Hi there Chantal Smiley smile

If you're looking to work these sunset photos into your day of timeline, I would definitely recommend you speak with the photographer on timings and work your way backward to find out the best time to have your ceremony.

Starting with your end time (or concrete times such as sunset), and working your way backward is the easiest way to build a timeline out Smiley smile

Don't forget to speak with your hair and makeup artist as he/she will have the biggest impact on your pre-ceremony timeline.

Will you be taking your other photos before or after the ceremony?
