Ceremony Songs

Shea, on May 19, 2019 at 10:41 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6

Hello! I am having a little bit of trouble and am hoping all of you lovelies can help me out. My fiancé and I both want me to walk out to Christina Perri's A Thousand years but we're having some trouble picking a song for the bridal party to walk out to.

I was thinking the party walks out to Christina Perri's A Thousand Years Pt. 2 and then I come out to the original played by The Piano Guys, but I'm not 100% set.

Any suggestions on a song for the bridal party to walk out to that would go well with me walking out to A thousand years?

Thanks in advance!

Do the songs have to be different?

I used one song song for the bridal party and me to walk down. We played it the whole way through (less than 3 min) which was important to me and where I started walking made sense in the song.

    Just an idea!

    Hi Shea!

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Smiley smile

    Congratulations on your engagement!

Do you want a second song with words, or strictly instrumental?

As the previous poster mentioned, would you consider playing one song for all of you to walk down? Or do you specifically want only the bride walking down to a thousand years?

If you want to play two full song the whole way through, it could take a long time for everyone to get to the aisle. I would suggest timing it out and see how long it would take.

How many are in your bridal party?

The beginning of the song gives my fiancé goose bumps so that's when I want to start walking

Hello! We wouldn't play all the way through, we'd fade the other song out as the bridal party finishes up. We do really want two different songs because the intro to A thousand years gives my fiancé goosebumbs and that's what he and I both want me to start walking to. Anything we do we're going to do strictly instrumental.

Also there are 5 groomsmen, 6 bridesmaids in the bridal party, but one of my bridesmaids, my sister, will be walking me down the aisle.

    Thanks!!

    I completely understand Shea!

What about some of the below, the instrumental versions of course! I think they would transition nicely.

All of Me by John Legend

Can’t Help Falling in Love With You by Elvis

Claire de Lune by Claude Debussy

The second part would be a nice compliment to yours.
