We went last July and it's where we got engaged! I'd be more than happy to recommend things for you if you let me know what you'd like. 😊

Thank you! Also we are almost birthday twins Smiley smile I'm July 10th!

It was only my then-boyfriend and I. I've never been one to want a "public" proposal. He did it after a special dinner (at Thalami restaurant in Oia) at our cave house villa. Rose petals, sea shells, and champagne! Smiley heart

    • We were actually first in Athens and then took ferries... (but honestly the ferries were a bit of a hassle and if it's a small one a lot of people get sick from the bumpiness and it goes on for hours.) I really suggest stopping for at least a few days in Athens as it's such a cool city with so many brilliant museums and sites to visit. In Santorini we stayed at Armeni Luxury Villas in Oia. Not cheap, but we knew we wanted to splurge if we were staying in such a special location (and I'm sure my now fiancé thought it would be the best proposal spot). The manager of the hotel was the best. We obviously stayed in Oia, which is such a sweet and relaxed part of the island. These little towns are pedestrian-only. We stopped in Thira once but it was very crowded and loud compared to Oia which is more romantic and picturesque. You should also check out Amoudi Bay where you can swim and dive and there's lots of restaurants to dine at along the water. We loved Dimitri's. I also suggest Pelekanos restaurant in Oia, Metaxi Mas restaurant in the centre of Santorini, and going on a Santorini Wine Tour if you're into learning more about Greek wines. They treated us so nicely and it was a fun but educational experience. Our only negative experience was Spiridakos Catamaran Tours where they treated everyone like cattle and didn't care about your experience at all. Catamaran tours are awesome, but I suggest going with a different company.
    • I hope you have a beautiful ceremony and honeymoon! Smiley ring
